No correspondence

In August 2013 I made a loan at Capfin on behalf of my mother (deceased) who I thought was paying the loan. I have tried to apply for credit cards, cellphone contracts but did not qualify in January 2015 I decided to email Capfin to find out if the loan was paid and they said that it was handed over. I got no letters nor sms' for the past year and suddenly I got an sms' from the attorneys to say my loan is going to court. I have tried to contact them but cannot get a hold of them and they have given me 2 different numbers with different company names. The one is Koegelenberg attorneys and the other FB attorneys. How does that work? What am I supposed to do in a situation like this? I have also tried to report this matter to the Law society but they haven't gotten back to me as yet.
