Security is completely useless!!!!

I would like to express my utter disgust in the security or lack thereof at cape gate mall.
Over the passed 2 weeks I've been to your mall a total of 3 times.
1. 23 December 2018, since I recently moved back to the northern suburbs, Cape gate is the only "mall" that is convenient for me to shop at on a last minute basis. On this day in particular, my mother and I decided to visit Cape gate for some last minute Christmas shopping. Not only did we witness about four random clicks of people drinking alcohol out of their vehicles in the parking lot between entrance 1 and 2 in plain sight of your very useless security, but also a very well dressed con artist begging with a sad story while he hustles people for money inside and outside the mall, also in plain sight of security. No. Nothing was done abt the people drinking in Broad daylight infront of your security guards in the parking lot and no nothing was done about the hustler conning shoppers out of their money
2. 24 December 2018 on this particular day I went to do some secret santa last minute shopping and again... Security all over but none of them caring enough to stop people drinking and playing music from their cars in the parking lot... A after all it is a free country and security is only paid to protect shoppers and the mall itself right??
3. Today. 1 January 2018
I think today must've been the worst. I decided to take my child and god child to see a movie at your mall. We entered at entrance 2 and in plain sight of every single adult and CHILD walking into your mall. There were three ladies sitting on the resting seat opposite African Bank DRINKING FAT GLASSES OF RED WINE and topping it up as if they were in their lounge... Shoes off and very laid back.
Obviously I did not hide my disgust when I saw this. I then proceeded to LOOK (I should actually say search) for a security guard on duty and I could not find a single one who works for CAPE GATE. I then approached Edgar's security to find out where the office for the security guards is. She very nice explained and directed me to the office.
When I got to the office. The security guard who was exiting the office, showed me in. Only to find an open screen only focusing on the banks. I supposed watching atms is more important that taking note of the entire mall...be that as it may. I very nicely explained what my child and God child and I had witnessed upon entering the mall and I was very quickly brushed off with a "I'll sort it out" sort of attitude. Needless to say I did not go back and check if the 3 ladies were removed, I trusted that the head security guard would do his job. We then proceeded to watch the movie as intenede even though I did not want to stay at your mall any longer. But what would making my child unhappy do? Nothing but ruin her new years day.
After the movie my friend and I went out for a smoke. And what happend next is what angered me the most.
Three security guards sitting outside on the smoking benches. 2 of the three were having a lovely fat conversation and I PLAIN SIGHT AS CLEAR AS Day there was about 8 people enjoying some lovely 750 ml black label, hunters dry and wait for it a long beer with a straw... Now you might be thinking that even though your security was enjoying their conversion that they actioned this act of public drinking and quickly nipped it in the bud... NO!!!!! As expected they did absolutely nothing. Until I personally interrupted their conversation to blatantly point out what was going on infront of my children. One of them very slowly strolled over to the group who were drinking and only when Ientioned to the other two AGAIN what was happening, and how disgusted I was, was this radioed in.
Now. Don't get me wrong. We all want to have a good festive season, but to blatantly disregard the fact that you are in a public space where children can see what is going on is to say the least pathetic and down right ********. We live in a world where children learn what they live. And I'll be damned if Im going to allow uncoothed individuals to blatay disregard the fact of my children's very being.
It's is absolutely pathetic and disgusting to know that the security of cape gate is to lazy to do their actual jobs.
After seeing this drinking episode I was so angry I wanted to go back to the security office and kick up a storm. Not only did I see one of your security's taking a lovely break at an empty mugg and bean, (I have a phot to prove this) I also came to find the gentleman who I think is the head of security standing at the top of the escalator having a fat chat with a female friend.
Here is is my question
Are we not paid to do our jobs???
So in closing. Please note. Your malls security sucks. Not only are they uninterested in their daily duties, they also completely *********** in customer liaison or actual etiquette.
I would very much like to know what your take is on this.
