Broken leg
My 6 year old son recently went through the trauma of breaking his leg on that Adventure Park jumping castle. Whilst I understand it was an accident, the absolute LACK of care and follow up from Cape Gate centre management is just disgusting. Firstly, it took the paramedic about 10 minutes to get there. When she did finally come strolling along, it took her another 10 minutes to go get a wheelchair. She then strapped his leg with newspaper and tied it up with a bandage. I obviously needed to get him to the hospital as soon as possible, but was then told I need to fill out forms for their records (which is completely useless as they didn't even bother to follow up). When I DID complain, I was told that the paramedic was on her lunch break and was made to feel like WE were in the wrong for interrupting her lunch break. Why is there not more than one paramedic on duty??? What if someone collapses from a heart attack or something worse??? The only phone call I received was a day later, by some woman in centre management, and not to find out how my son was doing, but more to ease her worries of bigger issues I might cause. She was extremely rude, unhelpful and just really didn't care that this had happened. The least they could've done was send the poor child a teddy bear or something, but all that happened was a really lame attempt at concern. Anything I put on their facebook wall, was promptly removed, in order to save face. Seriously a shoddy, pathetic excuse for a mall, and I will definitely never be going there or shopping there again; I would rather drive all the way to Tygervalley ( I live in Brackenfell). Thanks for nothing Cape Gate, you guys suck
