Stinky Leather slippers

<p>I bought an pair of leather wool slippers from cape union mart but cant wear them because it smells and cant get the musk smell out of the leather. I bought leather cleaning product from cape union as well, rinsed it in vinegar and baking soda and the smell just keeps on getting worse. Cant even keep the slippers indoor of the smell. Cape union Springs Mall refuses to exchange it for a new pair as it has been worn once already and the fact that I tried to get rid of the smell myself. If i known its shuch bad produckt I would have taken it back immidiatly. I just think it is unexceptionable as i paid R800 for slippers and it smells like cat urine and Cape Union refuses to exchange it. I contackted their service centre and this is the feedback I get</p> <p>"Unfortunately they will not be able to exchange it. they can send it to our service centre to advise regarding the smell and to see if they can assist.<br />as we have not received any such complaints on them<br />and the Service Centre will have to advise where the smell is coming from"</p>
