Salomon shoe Repair from Cape Union Mart

We Purchased a pair of Salomon shoes a year ago, as we all know these shoes dont come cheap. They have literally started to fray from the sole, the fabric is just fraying. After sending many emails to the customer care department and getting no response from them ,i actually phoned, and was told to take the shoes to my nearest C.U.M store which is Cradlestone, they handed the shoes in for repair and i have literally had to follow up every week to find out what is going on, so i decided to phone the repair offices myself, without any luck, nobody answered the phone then when i finally got through the person i am supposed to speak to was not available so i have to phone him back. i called the Cradlestone Mall store and the phone just rings and rings, nobody answers. I am irritated at the customer service and think that it is appalling to say the least. Surely paying R2000 for a pair of really good shoes with a really good brand name should last longer than a year when used for general takkie purposes - how on earth are they going to fix a fraying pair of shoes? i am going to land up having to send them in constantly to be fixed, and it is both shoes that this is happening with not just the one -
