******* attitude at Cape Union Mart

I went to the Clearwater Mall, Roodepoort, JOhannesburg branch of Cape Union Mart, today. There were no other customers in the store. There were three members of staff-one at the door with the sanitizer and two others at a counter busy with something. The manager was doing something at the cashier's counter.

None offered any assistance, but the two (both non white) only looked up to see who was passing ( do you see the stink), so I continued browsing for what I wanted to purchase. And there walks in a white gentleman(I am not white) and one of the two immediately stands to attention and asks the person if he needs any assistance and proceeds to follow the person to wherever. A sale is a given only if the person is white. I specifically mentioned to the other member of staff about what I noticed and the fact that the incident shall be posted on a consumer forum, more specifically hellopeter. He merely ignored what I said and didn't care that I was not interested in the purchase any longer. I left the store and purchased two shirts and a pair of shoes from a competitor around the corner. I spend a few thousands of rand annually at Cape Union Mart. I will not support this store. I also advise consumers not to purchase from this store. I hope the staff die and the store closes down.
