Refused to honor the guarantee

I was disappointed by Cape Union mart Kolonnade, I bought 2 light on 21 may 2023, I was told the lights have 12 months guarantee, if they give me a problem I should return them back with the till slip, I went back 25 April 2024, the story changed to the policy has changed to 3 months, I have to pay for courier fees to return lights to supplier and I also have to pay for the repair service. The after service I received from the store was not aligning to the standard I receive when I was doing the purchase, I don't think il make future purchases in this store again. I sent my complain to their customer service, I was told I should go to the store with my proof of purchase. I explained everything on the email but they told me about the store, which store because Kolonnade store said they can't help me. Funny when I ask the shop assistant about what I was told at the counter, they were not aware about the new rule that is implemented.
