Poor Service - Returns sitting in shop for weeks

My Fitbit (bought last December) wasn't charging so took it into the Cavendish branch early in August to get it sorted. The return was accepted, a copy of my original receipt was taken and I was given a copy of the work ticket. I was told it would take 4-6 weeks to get feedback/get fixed.

I went away for 2 weeks, waited another 2 weeks and went back to the store to check hte progress. I was told that it wasn't back yet and would probably take a further 2 weeks. As this was still within the time frame indicated at the beginning I was satisfied.

I went back again this weekend (i.e. after 6 weeks). I asked for my device, only to be told that it had not been sent in at all to Fitbit because I had not presented my receipt when I brought it in (which is a lie).

The attendant then went on to say that he "tried" to contact me and left a message which I hadn't heard - no other attempts were made to contact me despite the device sitting there for weeks. Secondly, if I had in fact not brought a receipt why then does Cape Union Mart take devices in that weren't purchased there?? All sounds like a bunch of excuses to me.

So I took my receipt in AGAIN and now probably have to wait a further 6 weeks - after which time I have been without my Fitbit for 3 months and have lost countless Vitality points which I cannot catch up on, yet still have to pay for Vitality membership.

I really would have expected better given that I have received such good service from the Waterfront branch in the past.
