More lies from Cape Union Mart - product advertised but 'not in stock'

Hello Mr Warren ... I trust you had a better Xmas experience than I.

I was looking for a pair of sport earbud headphones and found the (Volcano Sprint) on CUM website. It reported 'out of stock online' ... and the button 'Find a Store'.

I was in Jo'burg and hurried off to the nearest store in ****arney Mall ... but they didn't have any stock; and told me there were none available ANYWHERE in the country. So, why are they on your website?

Imagine? ... how many customers respond to your marketing/advertising, only to be misled ... wasting their time and efforts because CUM can't be bothered to update its website. You're so desperate to get customers into your stores, but don't give a damn about those whose time and efforts you waste as a result.

And despite my (above) email to your directly ... no, you didn't bother to respond.

HelloPeter.com evaluates businesses by their willingness to respond ... I think it's time we evaluated businesses by their willingness to compensate customers for consequential damage/loss.

Johan Wilkin at CUM replies to insult my intelligence, saying: " When you try to search for a store it does not give you any options as there is no stock available (Screenshots below)" ... but why does he think a customer would interpret " it does not give you any options" to mean " there is no stock".??? It appears in a Google search and the product is on your website. The technology you're using make it easily possible for CUM website to reflect stock REALTIME.
He only proves my point - CUM does not care what the consequences are for customers. The only objective is to get customers into stores!
The law should make CUM responsible for consequential loss/damage .... and CUM should reimburse me for wasting my time and for my trip to ****arney Mall.
