Merrell Reflex 2 mid leather hiking boots bought at Cape union mart

<p>I bought the Merrell Reflex 2 Mid leather hiking boots in the Grahamstown Cape union mart branch. I used them to do the Amathole hike (approximately 100km over 6 days) the boots were in absolutely shocking condition at the end of the hike. Were no longer waterproof, looked like they were a couple years old already and the rubber sole started coming off the front of each boot. This is the only hike I took these boots on. ALl the other people I hiked with boots were in perfect condition, aside from mine. Absolutely shocking quality. I returned the boots and I have been told that I have to wait approximately 2 months to get them back. This is shocking. I have never been more dissapointed in a buy and I do not understand why it would take so long. I planned a long hike in the drakensburg and now I no longer have boots to hike in and cannot afford splurging another R1600 on boots.</p>
