Know your REFUND policies

I bought a jumpsuit at CUM factory outlet. Went to return it for a refund just to be told that it is against their policy to refund items bought within 7 working days. Please note this is not stipulated in the store I bought it, nor on the receipt or on their website. Phoned head office and they mentioned that I need to go back to the store I bought it from. I mean if I stay in CBD, bought it in Kuilsriver, surely I'm not paying R250 in petrol to refund the item where I bought it. When another store is around the corner. Where in the world of good customer service does this happen. You have the receipt, you are within policy, just to be declined your right as consumer.
