K-WAY Waterproof hiking boot cracked on the first day of hiking

I purchased K-way hiking boot edge mid of R1699.00 on 06/12/2021 at Mall of Africa, the service was great and I was so excited and looking forward to hike with my new boot. Finally the day came, that was yesterday. Wearing my boot for the first, before I could finish the first 3km of 10km, the left boot cracked on the nose the right one on my 4k. I was so disappointed and full of regret for spending such a lot of money just to be disappointed. I did not even enjoy my hiking as usual because i was not stepping with comfort.

Can the boots be fixed? Or maybe be refunded at least.
