K-Way Kilimanjaro Jacket Falling Apart

Hi, I purchased the K-Way Kilimanjaro Jacket in 2013 at the Century City Cape Union Mart. It was R1800 at the time, so not exactly a cheap jacket. I was impressed with the design, materials used and the look and feel of the jacket. Performance wise, I'd give it a 6/10 as the hood leaked in heavy rain, and the cut of the hood was too small to allow good head movement (swiveling and looking up). <br> This was enough to live with and I thought it'd be fine until I bought my next hardshell. However, after the second wash last week ( I wash it once a season) the tape on the seams started pulling away. I own a lot of technical gear and take great care when cleaning. I used the appropriate product, Nikwax Tech Wash, and I followed the directions on the bottle. After the wash I found that the seams had just about fallen off. I do not have a receipt after two years, so I won't even try going to a branch.<br> I am highly disappointed in this product. Cape Union Mart charges a high price for this equipment, which really can be a determinant of life and death when the weather turns foul high on the mountain. <br> With this jacket I would surely die of hypothermia in South Africa, let alone Kilimanjaro.
