HiTec Standard of Excellence Lost

About 14 May 2019, I was happy to review this store. The house brand sandals I bought were exactly what I was looking for. Sadly, the Velcro on the straps didn't last. Mid August I returned them. My previous sandals lasted a whole decade. They were HiTec. So I requested replacing the house brand with HiTec. A member of staff brought my size from another branch. Terrific. Sadly not. HiTec use a similar poor quality Velcro. Due to the lockdown I only got to Cape Union Greenstone about three weeks ago. My very positive Hello Peter review of mid August 2019 didn't count as proof of purchase/exchange. A receipt was needed for the +-R112 for the difference. Sadly I was unable to produce it. My beef is with HiTec. They clearly haven't maintained their standard of excellence.
