False adverti*****t Cape Union Mart Tygervally

Hi
On 2015-05-31 I visited Cape Union Mart Tygervalley and talked to Nosipo about buying a garment. She started asking me to open a account , i then saw the adverti*****t about R600 cash back. She said yes i will get it back i only have to fill in and application form. She also told me that the interest is about 1.5 %.
After i did it she explained that i must wait for 5 minutes to be approved. I waited for 20 minutes and she did not come back to me.I started making enquiries. Without any response. After and hour of waiting i got and sms to phone back a number .
1) I phone back spending 5 minutes on my own phone with my airtime to answer several questions .
2) Then and Nomanddla told me i must sign a contract . There was 22% interest on the contract.
3) There was R100 joining fee on the contract.
4) There was another R35 service fee on the monthly contract.#
5) This was never stated to me before i app****, If i did not read it i would be stuck and would have been caught out by this false adverti*****t.
6) There was also later found out you can only spend R300 . Another piece of false adverti*****t.

I feel terribly done in and think this is beyond false adverti*****t.

Hello H.Roux,

We are so sorry to hear about what you experienced from one of our stores. RCS is a third party credit provider and we unfortunately are not able to access their application system. However we would like to apologise that there was not sufficient communication of the details that opening the account with Cape Union Mart and RCS would entail.

Kind regards
The Cape Union Mart Team
