Failure to honour previous managers commitment

I have been looking for hiking boots for a while and have visited the woodmead store to try and get these before. The manager of this store was assisting me and told me that my previous salomon boots should not have failed as the high density foam should be durable and never disintegrate. Therefore he offered to send the boots back to salomon on this quality issue even though they were old, not bought from his store and had no slip.<br> <br> The woodmead store never had my size but I recently bought a pair of boots at the sandton cape Union mart. This reminded me that I still had to take the salomon boots back and thus I tried to do so. I spoke to four people at the woodmead store and not one of them would honour this commitment. I was also repeatedly reminded that it was an outlet store as if this is an excuse for poor service. I am highly irate with cape Union mart as: <br> 1. I didn't ask for this in the first place - the service was offered to me<br> 2. Whether the store manager has changed or not, the commitment should still be honored<br> 3. I expect the same level of service from any store in the cape Union mart chain<br> <br> I look forward to a response from a chain that I used to hold in high regard
