DO NOT BUY DRONES FROM CAPE UNION MART
I bought a drone from Cape Union Mart. I took it to a farm and realised the drone only flies 1.5km instead of the advertised 4km. My friends drone flew the advertised 4km on the same day on the same farm at the same time. Having paid a fortune, I returned my drone and said I'd even buy the more expensive version as the range is critical to me. After more than 6 weeks I got a reply that the drone is working as advertised. When requesting how this was verified (as these drones log all flights) I wasn't given an answer. Apparently the drone was sent back to the shop. DO NOT BUY DRONES FROM CAPE UNION MART!

04 Jun 2019, 15:34OK, so in the meantime it was confirmed by Ahmed Ahmed from rectron whom CapeUnionMart uses to service these drones that my drone does not fly as advertised. I was also contacted by *** from the head office of CapeUnionMart and told they would deal the issue. However, today I was called by Moses from the Menlyn store where I purchased the drone and told head office decided not to refund or fix the drone. When asked why Moses said he doesn't know nor did he read the various emails confirming what I've stated. He did say he'll ask head office to contact me and will CC me in the email which he did not do. I'm awaiting someone to contact me.
