CAPE UNION MART CANAL WALK - goodbye and all RCS Group stores!

TERRIBLE service from Cape Union Mart Canal Walk branch (the one inside the mall). I completed a credit app on the 17th of Nov 2016 to qualify for the R600 discount with your first shopping. I was told the account should be approved that same day. I went back the afternoon and was told that they were still waiting. I went there on 1 Dec, needless to say, my application was fished from a box (with many others) from behind the counter. It was never submitted. I was told they will give me feedback within 10 minutes. An hour later I was told that it was declined "and currently does not meet the minimum RCS credit approval standards"! As a platinum card holder from Discovery and private banking client from a commercial bank I thought that was a joke! I told them numerously that I want to open the account, get the discount and immediately whilst in the store pay with my Discovery credit card as I have "diamond" status and qualify for a further 30% discount. They put me on the phone with the RCS agent that have declined the account. It came out that I did not pay in October 2016 R183.41 (total of my account) on my Queenspark acc. I have paid that amount already on the 29/11/16 when I have received an sms re the outstanding amount. I must also mention before Oct I had for months a credit on the Queenspark account! I have not received the Queenspark statement for a couple of months. The agent told me that they did send it and I have searched my computer again today and found 3 Queenspark statements in the SPAM folder. Needless to say, I left my purchases of R3 200 which I would have bought on the account and paid immediately in the store, went to Queenspark and ask what my outstanding balance were - R5.31. Which I have paid, cut up my card and left. Cheers Cape Union Mart (my husband loved you so) and cheers Queenspark ( I loved you too) and any other store which the credit department is run by the RCS Group and that all about R183.41 for a statements which I unfortunately did not see and was in arrear since Oct 2016.
