been given the run around

I went to the local store in east london, spoke to a salesperson who confirmed one of the branches had stock of the item. I also mailed their info service, spoke to a representative, many emails back and forth, not giving me an indication of when i will receive my item. Confirmed stock availabilty...Now today I get told that my item will ONLY be ordered tomorrow morning. \it's a special order, and it will take longer\" um, it hasn't been ordered, and your other store had one in stock!
