Account cancellation should be made easy

I have an account with Cape Union Mart. I have paid the settlement amount and requested them to close the account and trouble started. I was asked to write a letter informing them why I am closing the account, attach? a copy of my identity document and God knows what else. I do not remember writing any letter when I app**** for the account. What is so difficult with this request or they want to continue milking me. The worse part is, I cant even check how much am I still owing, I am always told to go and check at Foschini, I am like, ***, I don't have an account with Foschini but I have it with Cape Union Mart. Please, please, please close this account, I beg you.
