No assistance for the disabled at Cape Town Stadium

My son and brother-in-law invited me to the sevens at Cape Town Stadium. Never being there before I check the web. It showed that there is disabled assistance but clicking on the disable icon nothing happens. 1. Asked the traffic police, security and all staff wearing bibs for assistance - was showed to parking that was still some distance to walk. 2. Got to long cues of people trying to enter – asked if there was a line or assistance for the disabled and was told to wait in the lone lines. 3. Found some lifts – was informed to use the stairs to level 5 4. From parking to level 5 took me 1H25min – was in so much pain I took some anti-inflammatory and pain meds 5. Asked to speak to stadium management, the security and ushers call on their radios and was informed I must wait they are on their way – waited over an hour missing the games. 6. No one from the stadium turned up and was informed they asked for my cell number as they would call – never happened 7. Was taken to the open area on level 5 where I was told I could sit and stretch me legs and would be allowed to make use of the VIP room for being kept waiting so long – was turned away from VIP lounge as I was not given the arm band.

I’ve been medically boarder in 2004 had a couple of back surgeries, waiting on two knee replacements, hip and two shoulders replacements. I was also diagnosed with FM and have osteoporosis and atheists in my joints. With all this said it would have been such a great outing for me with just a little bit of help. What was to be a treat from my son because my worst day.
