False advertising, unprofessional... don't bother wasting your time in dealing with them!

<p>I responded on one of their ads for a house that they advertised via e-mail early on a Sunday morning (explaining in the mail that the reason I didn't phone them instead was because I didn't want to disturb them at such an inconvenient time). Monday came and went without me hearing back from them so I phoned them on Tuesday to follow up - at which time they told me that they never received my e-mail and blamed it on the specific website through which they advertised - even though they did respond to that same mail just a few hours later?!</p> <p>I requested for them to please send me the CMA valuation report on the property, after which they informed me that I must first pay them a rather hefty fee for the report (first time ever that an agency has asked me to pay to get info on a property that they're trying to sell to me?!). I also had other very basic and relative questions but they insisted that they'll only provide me with the info if I drive through for a viewing, which I duly did.</p> <p>On arrival I realized that even though they advertised the house as "3-ensuite double bedrooms, all with BIC", that NONE of the bedrooms were ensuite, not all had BIC and to be honest even though a double bed will fit into the bedrooms (which wouldn't leave much/any space in 2 of the 3 rooms), that part of their listing was also very misleading! They also failed to convey that the additional flatlet on the property was constructed in an old cheap prefab/drywall style - info that if I knew about upfront would've lead to me not wasting time and money by going for a viewing in the first place!</p> <p>To top this, when I inquired about the neighbours, I was informed that this "wasn't applicable information"?! I drove an hour there through traffic and an hour back so I was obviously not very impressed by the "service" that they provided, being both extremely ********* and unprofessional. I also showed them the info on the ad that they placed after which they told me that "they're sorry, but they weren't aware of it that the bathrooms weren't ensuite and that not all of the rooms indeed had BIC" - even though they've got a sole mandate on this house and posted photos of it on their ads, so I honestly don't know how they managed to do a remotely accurate valuation without knowing this, i.e. it seems to be a case of straight false advertising/lies, which is probably also the reason for them not wanting to convey any info before the viewing takes place - which then just leads to a waste of time for the owner, the potential buyers as well as themselves!</p> <p>I will definitely not recommend to use them either to sell your property or to waste your time by trying to buy one via them - my guess is that they make more money from selling their CMA's than selling their listings...</p>
