Inverter Company supplying end-of-life long-life batteries.

We bought an Inverter with two long-life storage batteries from this company for approximately R12,600. The unit worked for about 3 months before the batteries failed. When queried on this I was first told that they were only warrantied for 150 cycles and that the solution was to ADD two more batteries to the array. We arranged to do this for an additional +-R6000 BUT the installer then advised that it was not good practice to "double up" but rather to replace - which he then did. I looked up what a "cycle" was for a long-life battery and the original batteries had not been through 150 "charged to depleted" cycles in the time we had them, so I continued to suspect the original batteries were already at end-of-life when supp**** to us. They then arranged to have them tested and, no surprise, they were at end-of-life. The company, apart from generally ignoring us until multiple follow-ups, has given us multiple versions of what they are going to do next, and promises to follow-up and, at the end of the day has not fulfilled its promise: - "It is our mission to exceed all of our customers' needs and ensure every customer is a happy customer. "

There is also the small matter of a wheel on the array which was dropped when it was delivered - again many promises but not replaced.

Instead of costing R12,000+ it has now cost us more than R18,000. This is no way to treat pensioners, one of which is disabled,
