Service at Cape Town Fish Market seem to be "Sleeping with the Fish"

On Mothers DAy my sons decided to spoil me and took me to lunch at Cape Town Fish Market in the Waterfront. What a horrible experience. We were seated at a dirty table, that no one bothered to clean in all the time we were there. Our order was taken and it took over an hour for our food to arrive. In this time, no one came to check in on us. I eventually ask to see the Manager, he comes to the table before I can speak, and says he will be back. He eventually arrives with our food. I explain to him that we were very unhappy with the service, the long delay in getting our food, the dirty table ect. He responds by saying, "Im so sorry to hear that". He doesnt offer to clean the table or send someone over to clean the table. With our food finally at the table, my son asks 2 different waiters for tomato sauce, which never arrived. On taking our drinks order, the waiter was very confused as to what a Passion fruit and Lemon Aid cooldrink was, and another waiter had to come over and explain it to him. I cont explain the bad service, because the restaurant wasn't even full. I would have walked out, but it was Mothers Day, and this was a gift from my kids. It just felt like CTFM was a bad choice, and left a bad taste, on a good day!
