Grand west Cape Town Fish Market SUCKS!!!

Went to the Grand West Cape Town Fish Market last night. What a complete and utter nightmare, we should have gone to Spur instead(which we did afterwards) and spent less money for better food.

I ordered a Hake & Calamari and the fine print said the hake is a fillet but I was given a hake middle cut and other than that given chips instead of the onions rings. Now that was not an issue, as they changed the chips for the onion rings...my problem was how long the waitress and manager then took to come and assist. I asked another waitress to call our waitress who was taking her own time to get there, by that time my food was already half cold and the manager tried to explain to me how I ordered Hake and I was given that. My point was that the menu stated I get a piece of fillet, which I wanted. He refused to change the fish and I ended up not eating there at all, after paying for my husband's meal and not tipping because the service in general was **** I left and went to Spur and got an amazing meal for the same price.

I work in a service environment and if a customer asks for something in order to retain and keep your customers your try and go the extra mile for them, there was none of that here, just a manager who refused that and staff who does not know anything about customer service and checking on their customers. I WILL NEVER EAT AT GRAND WEST CAPE TOWN FISH MARKET AGAIN IN MY LIFE.
