CRAYFISH THERMIDOR

I am most disappointed about my experience . On Friday was our 43rd wedding anniversary. Because we were booked into one of the venues in Umhlanga, we decided to go to Gateway. The rest of my family ordered various meals, which were good, however, my order which was Crayfish Thermidor was most shocking! Clearly the chef didn't know what a crayfish thermidor was. My crayfish tail arrived with sauteed onions and chopped up green pepper and tiny shrimps over it. There was no sauce or anything. The meat of the crayfish was still stuck to the shell. I asked the waiter to call his manager which he duly did. The Indian lady arrived and was really really arrogant and insisted that it was crayfish thermidor. She then called in her manager who was very apologetic and said that he could see that it wasn't crayfish thermidor. Whilst trying to pull out the flesh in his presence, out came the GUT!! How gross!

The cost of this was R350. The manager himself was embarassesd and said that that there would be no charge. I will not ever go there again.
