Cape Town Fish Market - Canal Walk Branch - DISGUSTING SERVICE EVER!!!!

This review is for the Cape Town Fish Market Canal Walk branch. On 2nd September 2023 we received the worst customer service at this place that's supposedly to be so well known. On arrival, we waited at the entrance for 10 minutes to be seated, bare in mind this restaurant was not full at all. Red Flag number 1. Eventually when we were approached to be seated, I mentioned that I had a reservation for 7pm, the girl doing the seating did not even bother to ask for the name that the reservation is under. Red Flag number 2. Once seated, we were handed the food and drinks menu, and that's where the service stopped all together. Red Flag number 3. Not a single waiter/waitress approached the table to take our drinks order. After 15 minutes of waiting, I tried to get one of the waiter's attention to ask him who will be seeing to our table because we have been waiting all this time, but before I could even say anything to him, he rudely interrupted me and said " someone will be with us shortly". Red Flag number 4. We waited for this "someone" and not one of them approached the table. Red Flag number 5. We then decided to get up and walk out of that disgusting place because clearly they do not respect their customers. That whole franchise will never see my money, ever. I would NOT recommend them to anyone either, and if I could rate them -0 then I would. The one star saved them. Pathetic to say the least. Don't run a business if your staff treats customers like ****!!
