Zero accountability Cape to Cuba Kalk Bay
Extremely bad PR and zero accountability. We booked or so we thought a table for 30 for a birthday celebration, we personally drove to the restaurant, chatted directly to a staff member and we were given the run down of price per head for tapas platters, we could bring limited bottles of wine no corkage rest of drinks purchased from the bar. We could bring our own cake no charge and we were told they would not charge our party the cover charge of R30 per head. Super chuffed with the service we received we left. Later on we sent out all the invites with all the agreed info on the invite. Next morning we put down in a mail to the restaurant just repeating the agreement, only to be called back by another staff member saying that the previous staff member had no right to agree to terms he had given us. After a very lengthy and honestly quiet rude and unapologetic call we thought that we had met in the middle do to speak. Needless to say the invoice landed in our inbox to which contrary to our agreement, this staff member who says he was instructed by the owner to add the entrance fee per person, corkage, and R15 per head per plate for the cake we were bringing. This is unacceptable and ******ion to say the least. We have already listed the price per head on the invite, we know have 30 confirmed guests coming and all the terms have changed. Poor poor customer relations. Obviously feel like they don't need to work to hard for customers. If you ask me in this instance Cape to Cuba should take their error on the chin, train their staff better do this foes not happen to another group. Shocking, I can only imagine it's because they feel like their location means they never have to work to hard to keep paying customers happy. Our scheduled arrival was to be at 2. 00. We would have amassed a huge bill.
