Cape to Cuba Kalk Bay - health code violation and customer attack online.

Ordered hot chips from this "restaurant" in Kalk Bay - at the bottom of the bowl was a chip and attached to it was a whole tuft of hair. Horrified and thoroughly disgusted we showed the waitor- he removed the bowl - and we sat waiting for the waitor/manager/chef /anybodyto come and apologize and explain. No staff member came to us. The restaurant also wanted us to still pay. We had to argue not to. I made a facebook post showing an image of the chip and tufts of hair on it - and tagged Cape to Cuba. Cape to Cuba responded two days later with this comment on my post : "We kept the one chip you didn't eat, dried what was on there and found it was a feather from our resident dove outside. Deliberately soaked and put on the chip in order to walk out without paying the entire bill- shame on you. Please don't come back."

My response to them was: "Deep fried feather is still a health code violation- birds have parasites, bacteria and viruses. We had almost eaten the whole bowl before we saw this - can I send you my Dr bills as I have not felt 100% since. Your response is bizarre... instead of explaining and apologizing your first action is to accuse and try to shame your customers for something that is entirely your fault?! I mean are you imagining this outlandish situation where 5 whole adults (we had a table of 5) with jobs, didn't want to pay for a plate of chips so we scavenged outside your restaurant for a feather, but not just any feather- the elusive black dove feather that looks like weave when wet. Then we 'deliberately soaked' the feather (in what exactly?) and attached it- even though it's clearly been fried to the potato. But in your mind we did all that just so that we wouldn't have to pay for a plate of chips? Listen, we won't be back, you don't deserve us."

Obviously many people we outraged by the response and commented- that is when Cape to Cuba blocked me from tagging them in any posts.
