PROCEEDS OF SALE NOT BEING PAID OUT

When my father moved out of Trianon Retirement Village, the Cape Retirement Lifestyles marketed the property. I was advised on 11 June that a successful sale had been concluded and that the new owners would take occupation on the 1st of July. In terms of the contract signed by my father the sale proceeds should have been paid out on receipt of full consideration from the new owner. To date we still have not been advised how much the unit was sold for, any deductions that will be taken off and of course we have not received the proceeds. Surely this a totally unacceptable practice to hold onto funds that are not rightfully theirs. We were warned when we bought into the village that we will encounter problems getting our funds out but I thought people were exaggerating - clearly not
