Cape Removals - what a disappointment

Dealing with the office pre-move was great. They were helpful and accommodating. However once the actual move commenced things have been very disappointing. I was moving my 85 year old mother and Cape Removals could not give us an indication the day before of the expected time of the pick up - we were just requiring a 'morning or afternoon' indication. Needless to say we waited in the packed up house the whole day with no truck arrival. On enquiring by mid to late afternoon, I was given the driver's number who told me we were not on his list of pick ups! This was confirmed by the office. We found a friend to stay with for the night and were told that the truck would be arriving the following morning, which it did. But it was a different truck on its way in the opposite direction first, then in our direction. None of our stuff was labelled or counted or covered as per request (and paid for). I wrote an inventory as they packed. We were assured it would be at our new destination by Friday. It only arrived on Monday with two big boxes missing, a broken pot plant and scratched furniture. I would not recommend using this service and I certainly will never use them again.
