Cape Point Sailing Academy

<div>If you are considering doing a SAS accredited sailing course, then please stay far away from Cape Point Sailing Academy in Simon's Town. The owner, ++++&nbsp; because he sells sailing courses, takes the money and then don't deliver, in fact, just trying to get hold of him and to get him on the water was a constant challenge. We moved to Simon's Town in December 2023 and enrolled our son on the Day Skipper's course with Mark at Cape Point Sailing Academy. It was supposed to be a 10-day course, 5 days theory and plus-minus 5 days practical sail training. Very little sailing happened and a year later, still no qualification. Even the yacht used for the training was unimpressive. As a family, we are passionate about sailing and have been sailing for over 30 years. Luckily our son grew up with sailing because if this was his first exposure to sailing, then he would have surely been put off for life. We have now approached another sailing school to help our son finish his Day Skippers Certificate. A very disappointing experience and hopefully this review helps other keen sailors to NOT choose Cape Point Sailing Academy.</div>
