Law Society in Wonderland

I lodged two complaints with the Cape Law Society against Neilsons Attorneys. My first complaint was rejected chiefly on the basis of a (claimed) Society rule which did not exist. I requested a copy of this rule (a PAIA request), which the Society rejected. My second complaint was rejected chiefly on the basis of a (claimed) submission to the Society which did not exist. Again I requested a copy of this submission (a PAIA request), which the Society rejected. Then, I laid a complaint against MacRobert Attorneys, and added: Would the Society kindly inform me of \any evidence here referred to\" which they would require. They rep****: \"You have not provided any proof\", therefore there was no complaint. We have two problems here. 1. The Society believes in a useful place for things which apparently do not exist, while I attach some importance to their existence. And 2. when I ask for simple, crucial assistance, the Society calls a halt. This, too, is on my mind: If I cannot make logical sense of the Society, what of our poorer classes? The Society is there to be a help, and to find genuine solutions which put things to rest. This could have been achieved in the cases above."
