Cape Diamond Boutique Hotel - TO AVOID
I am not one to usually name and shame, but the recent incident with Cape Diamond Boutique Hotel and Booking.com was just unacceptable. We booked two rooms with them at the end of January during our Cape Town trip and upon arrival, we explained to the manager that we were not satisfied with the facility (not going to mention why) and requested a refund. The manager advised that once the funds have been received from Booking.com they will provide us with a refund. After following up the next week, they advised that we would not receive a refund as we never showed up, after stating that we would share our location history of the day to prove that we were in fact there, they agreed to refund us. It has been almost a month and a half since the incident and every day a promise is made by the general manager of the hotel that the refund will get processed. I finally started to get impatient with the waiting period this morning, whereby the manager then stated that the refund was no longer going to get processed as it is now all of a sudden against their policy, after CLEARLY stating that he was going to refund us numerous times. The accommodation was R6 391. Please don't support them.
