I would like to share my experience with Cape Coast Flooring, which is currently trading as Cape Coast Projects. They had a project subcontracted to Edge to Edge for the installation of a Mirandi wooden floor on a stage at Claremont High School. The decking was not properly installed and had several issues: moisture problems, no expansion gaps, untreated wood, some areas were not secured, and the floor was not level. Emile then attempted to sand the stage himself using 100-grit sandpaper but was unsuccessful. That is when he engaged me. I attended site, assessed the floor, and explained what was required based on my experience and expertise with wooden floors. I quoted him for the remedial work and sealing. He paid a 50% deposit. After I completed the job, I contacted him to request payment of the outstanding balance. He refused to pay, blocked me, and blocked my company, ALL FLOORING PROJECTS.

<div>I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before using Cape Coast Flooring. I have had epoxy flooring installed by them at two separate residential properties, and in both cases the floors developed moisture-related failures shortly after installation. The company did return to repair certain patches, but the same issues continue to reappear. Before any of the installations, no moisture testing was performed, and I was never informed that the product was sensitive to moisture or required any special assessment beforehand. I was assured that the substrates were suitable, which has unfortunately not been the case. There is also a third commercial property where Cape Coast Flooring carried out epoxy work, and similar issues are now occurring there as well. Despite the significant cost of all these projects, my experience with the company afterwards has been disappointing. There has been ongoing blame-shifting, and they have not been willing to meaningfully take responsibility or properly rectify the problems. Based on my experience across multiple sites, I strongly recommend that anyone considering this company arrange independent moisture testing and fully verify substrate conditions before installation. My intention with this review is simply to provide a clear, honest account so others can avoid the same challenges.</div>
