Poor Customer Service

<p>I commissioned this company to make a piece of kitchen equipment for my business. We sat with their sales staff as per their requirements and passed on all of the information they needed in order to make the water bath for our kitchen.</p> <p>It first of all took this company over two weeks to send me a quatation after I called them five times and chased them up with emails. That there should have been a HUGE red flag for me which I ignored. After accepting the quote I was told that it would take two weeks to complete. Well sixweeks later I popped in to their premises to check up on the equipment as I was told it was completed.</p> <p>1. The size was manufactured incorrectly resulting in all the hot steam from escaping nullifying the purpose of the water bath to keep food warm;</p> <p>2. the unit was made deeper than what I asked;</p> <p>3. The drainage tap was placed under the unit, after I expressly asked for it to be put on the side like a "normal" baine marie rendering it useless as a generator needed to fit under the unit.</p> <p> </p> <p>After I viewed the unit last week and informed them of all of the errors I was told by their owner (the person that made it incorrectly) that I had to pay him more in order to get the things changed. What company in their right mind asks for more money after they were the ones that made it incorrectly? I left after being told tht they would sort out the unit to the required specifications only to make a turn past their business today to see that NOTHING was rectified on the unit.</p> <p>I informed them that I would only take the heating unit and would not be getting the unit made by another company as they had not held up to their word. In fact all that they could do is try and justify why their staff had done such a poor job and try and explain why things were not made to spec. They actually refused to help me remove the heating unit and told me that seems as though I had paid for the unit I should take it and leave. Now why would I do that when it was not made to my specifications?</p> <p> </p> <p>The way my wife and I were treated today was absolutely disgusting! My recommendation would be never to deal with this company as they are disorganised and unprofessional and no capacity to deal with customers in a positive way.</p>
