Cape Animal Medical Centre - What a disgrace

We took our hamster to Cape Animal Medical Centre on Tuesday 1 Feb 2022 for medical attention. We were then told that the doctor working with small animals works on appointment basis only. The earliest appointment we could get was Thursday 3 February 2022 at 18h15. We were there at 18h05. Another lady arrived after us who had a 18h45 appointment with the same doctor and another lady arrived after her. We filled in what felt like reams of paperwork once for large animals and once for small animals. At 18h40 the doctor came and called the lady who came after us with the 18h45 appointment. I then asked the receptionist why the delay she shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't know. What really irritated us (my wife and I) was when the doctor came out and called the second woman who came even later than the first woman. At this moment we appealed to the receptionist to rectify the situation and again she just shrugged her shoulders as if to say there is nothing she could do. Needless to say at that moment after being there for an hour waiting we decided that Cape Animal Medical Centre isn't as good as they think they are and we left without our poor pet getting the attention he needed. We felt disrespected and dismissed. They definitely are not worth the money they charge for their services. Good luck to anyone who takes their pets there!!!
