Vital cord to use printer isn’t included with brand new printer

I bought a beautiful looking brand new canon I-sensys printer - truly looks amazing - I have spent days trying to figure out a way to connect my computer to said printer - reading about 30 manuals and have come to the amazing conclusion that I need a USB cord to connect my printer to my laptop - WHICH DOESNT COME WITH THE BRAND NEW PRINTER - seriously why would you leave out an a)essential piece of equipment and b) not bother to give me a heads up so I could order one separately - because printers are cheap and I have tons of money - I finally keep coming up with this suggestion from CANON.COM - our printers do not some with USB cables, if you do not have one from a previous printer, you can purchase any A to B USB cable - Seriously this is my first printer and I was so proud of adulting so late in the game only to have no way to use it - I had foot surgery and bought everything I thought I would need to use during recovery before this - and I’m single AF - so I either have to ask someone else to go do tedious shopping for me - or wait for an online company to deliver one to me - Absolutely ridiculous
