Canon ****shot

How annoying when you get no response after sending emails to the tech department at Canon to try and find out how to deal with a lens that won't retract. This then forces you to take your little point n shoot digital Powershot camera to Orms. Here you're told it's too old for them to look at (it wasn't even 3 years old!) and at the only other repair centre (linked to Cameraland) they can't guarantee anything for the R900 fee. But most disappointing is that the camera has only taken about 3000 pictures! It hasn't been dropped or taken to a sandy area - possible reasons some websites give for the lens malfunction. I'm incredibly disappointed, especially as I enjoyed the Canon Roadshows so much and the association with the supposed quality behind the name.
