Canon printers are defects

I purchased a Canon G2000 series printer in 2018 for home use for the kids school printing requirements. In the last few days the printer has come up with a 5B00 error and I cannot print any longer. The ink tanks are still over 50% full. Searching online on this error code I came across multiple complaints of the same issue.

This is the 2nd and last Canon printer I will purchase. The previous model I purchased was a G2000 series which also came up with a B200 error within a short period of usage.

Canon please do proper quality tests of your products before putting them into the market.
