Canon G series printers very unreliable

Hi potential buyers of Canon G series printers. I've been around in the IT business longer tan most ,30 years now ! These printers are a great purchase if you want to save $$ on ink ,HOWEVER, be aware they are poorly designed and will give you problems after the warranty (1 year) expires. I've sold a fair few of these items and after 12 to 18 months the paper feed mechanism no longer feeds reliably making the product extremely frustrating to work with. The latest item returned was a G4411 that failed after 18 months ,returned it to Partserve (Canon repair agent much to be desired !) for repair and they did a bad job and hence it was returned with the same problem. I've now been without a printer/copier for 3 weeks whilst no word from Canon. Oh by the way ,if you attempt to contact Canon...good luck ,they are excellent at hiding away when the proverbial hits the fan,I'm sure they are well aware of the problem but chose to keep it under wraps. You have been warned ,stay away from these printers. My advise is DO NOT PURCHASE these printers ,rather the Epson or Brother equivalent as they are more reliable and the service slightly better.
