Canon SA has no consumable inventory

I have a pretty new Maxify GX7040 which we use for our business. It recently warned that the maintenance cartridge was nearly full. Canon SA have no stock of this consumable part, and will not have for the rest of this month at best, rendering the business printer a paperweight. I would not recommend supporting this brand, given they are not able to keep consumables on hand for SME products.
