Canon SA ****** Employees

During 2022, I spoke to Canon regarding a sponsorship, I spoke to them on a previous occasion, the lady who spoke to me was very ****** and told me that sponsorships are not given to white people. I wrote a letter to David Preston, who is the CEO and explained the situation, he never gave me any feedback and the matter was just swept under the rug. When I contacted them during 2022, it was in February, I was put through to Kgomotso Mbuli, I explained my situation and I was told that due to my race, I do not qualify for a sponsorship. I was told that only previous disadvantaged people qualify for sponsorships, I have been supporting Canon for the last 25 years as a professional photographer and it is very sad to be treated this way, I never expected Canon to react in this manner, I think it is totally unacceptable.
