Canon refuses to repair printer

I bought a printer at Cartridge Town in George. The printer continually jammed. I followed the instructions provided to remove the paper. Unfortunately the feeder broke when I removed a paper. According to Canon I was supposed to leave the paper and bring the printer in with the jammed paper. Can you imagine every business bringing in a printer when there is a paper jam! The best part of all is that they are asking 2100 rand to repair the printer! That is basically what I paid for the whole unit!
