Beware of Candy (Shopcandy)

On 7 January 2022 I paid in full for 13kg washer dryer. This was an online transaction concluded on the Shopcandy website. The item had to be delivered to Centurion. Delivery, as per the website is 7-10 days. I began following up on delivery on 31 January 2022 and was immediately advised that the item was delivered. After several emails, it conceded that delivery was not effected. Candy blamed the courier company for messing up the delivery. It was allegedly delivered to Krugersdorp :-) it then undertook to deliver on the 4th of February 2022. Delivery was eventually effected on 7 February 2022. However, it delivered a 8kg washer/ dryer. I am awaiting their response. In the meantime, I urge consumers to carefully consider transacting with a company that simply excels in blunders.
