I wish I can make this place a negative rating

CampusKey Rosebank has been a nightmare since the day I moved in. Before you arrive, you have to book a time to check in to your room, but that doesn't matter because you'll have to wait an extra 2 hours in the lobby with all your stuff anyway. When I arrived at my room (which I had booked months in advance), the entire shower frame was loose, and there was no silicone to keep it in place on the walls, so it easily fell when I opened the shower door to take a shower. Additionally, the tap by my vanity mirror was loose, and it sprayed out to the side (still currently does this and is still currently loose). All of these issues were logged with a worker, yet it still took them 2 weeks and an email to the building manager to acknowledge that I even logged anything. On top of that, the issues were marked as complete however, no one came to complete them until a few hours and another email later. The cleaning staff at CampusKey are also not up to standard, as one day I came back home after they had cleaned, and my perfectly working sink plug was replaced with a broken one. Secondly, I came home one day to my door unlocked and open for anyone to come inside and ***** my belongings. The whole building has a water issue, you cannot take a single nice shower when staying here, it is always lukewarm or constantly going from ice cold to burning hot. Multiple tenants have complained about the issue, yet as always, nothing is done about it. The entire building also has a roach infestation because I assume the building was not properly fumigated when construction was done. However, if you bring up the issue with management, they ask for your room number, and as soon as you bring up that it is a whole building issue, you get blatantly ignored, and the issue, like all other issues, gets swept under the rug. The washing machines on each floor (2 OLD washing machines and 2 OLD dryers per floor, with 100+ people) are constantly broken because of overuse, or they stain your clothes, so no winning there either. The whole building was constructed very, very poorly with cheap materials; there are gaps underneath the kitchen counters, behind the closet, and everywhere else you can think of. Despite all of these practical issues, they also take you for a ride with your money. The cheapest room is 10k a month for a shoe box, plus you have to pay extra for parking. You are only allowed 2 devices on the barely working wifi, if you want to add another device, it is R500 per device. The normal wifi speed is 2 Mbps, which is so ridiculous for a student housing. If you want to upgrade the wifi, it is an additional R2000 per tier. With 20 Mbps being the fastest speed. Then they also fine you if you use the fire escape doors? for some reason. The fine is another R500. Another point is that staff and cleaning staff have full access to your room and can come in announced whenever they please. The cleaning schedule is also not sent to you, so you never know when they are coming to clean your room. The staff do regular room inspections as well, but they don't tell you if it is your room or not, or when they are coming. They again just come in whenever they please. There is absolutely no sense of privacy in CampusKey. CampusKey would rather use all of the money you are paying to decorate the common areas and make the outside look extremely modern and a nice environment to stay in, instead of using the money to fix all of these outstanding issues. CampusKey looks like a very good deal from the outside, and they look like they are the best res. However, living here is the worst decision you can make for yourself.
