Save yourself the headache
Do not waste your time trying to rent through Campus Living as they are unprofessional and *****. I went to view a garden flat through them and took the appropriate steps to seek out a lease agreement, but was ignored and spurned as a client the minute I asked to renegotiate the lease. They wanted to me to pay 2 months deposit for a house which would have been demolished at the end of my 12 month lease period. Deposits are not there to act as a fallback for rental deficits or proof of income, so why was I asked to pay one if the whole house was going to be torn down? Very interesting indeed. The rental contract also stated that I was limited to a 2GB a month WiFi cap, yet 'WiFi was included in the rental amount'. Who on earth uses 2GB of internet a month? That's what I use in a day! As soon as I questioned the lease my messages and emails went ignored for a week until I got back into contact with the initial rental agent who first showed me the flat. This type of rental agency that takes advantage of parents and students who don't know any better and end up paying exorbitant prices for hamster cages with little to no amenities. Don't do it. Just go private.
