Cheap material and poor service

We recently had the pleasure of buying a Campmaster 810 tent, from Game in October 2022. Due to our busy schedules, we were not able to use it and stored it. Come December 2022, we pitched the tent in the backyard, to see how our family would fit and sleep in it. In a sheltered area.

The very next morning, we find that one of the poles have snapped at a joing and decided to break the tent down. Upon disassembly, we find that 2 more poles have multiple joints which has bent.

So off to Game we go, where we bought the tent.

After a discussion and a phone call, we were told;

Campmaster does not cover the poles under warranty. We were not informed of this upon purchasing the tent. And Game will refund the tent due to the poles being damaged.

My recommendation;

Do not buy Campmaster equipment. It is cheap substandard ******* equipment. Spend a bit more and buy a more reputable brand and which does not sell cheap junk, which they do not cover under warranty, due to them knowing how poor their own equipment is.

Do not buy from Game, they do not honor their clients or stand up for your consumer rights, they would rather protect their suppliers. And the cheap equipment being sold at their stores.
