Bad advice from Camera Tek, Strydom Park.

<p>I bought a Canon camera from Makro a few years ago and have always taken it to Camera Tek for repairs under the guarantee. I took it there again in the week. The assistant advised me that as it is now under the extended warranty the process is that they would quote for the repairs and i must submit the quote to Makro. She did advise me that if they dont get the job to do the repairs they charge an inspection of R180. I contacted Makro and they advised me that once the extended warranty kicks in 'CameraTek is only responsible while it still under supplier warranty, Makro takes over when it is covered by extended warranty.' Camera Tek staff were supposed to advise me to go to Makro. they will not release the camera until I have paid the inspection fee of R180. Why should I be responsible when I received the incorrect advice from Camera Tek?</p>
