I was pampered for my Birthday to have a spa day at Camelot Spa Amsterdam Olivedale branch. I was not too happy with my facial wax as there was still patches of hair on my face. My indian head massage was painful because she used gloves so she kept pulling my hair. My spa treatment was in a bright room so I could not really relax. The lady put parrafin wax on my hands and toes without warning me and she burnt me. My mani and pedi was shocking. I had tips done and they were not filed down smooth or stuck on correctly and my toes were still sharp and not filed down correctly. The lady cut my finger and then said I came to her with a cut already which I did not. I did not even get to choose my own nail art. I called the manager and had told her about my experience. She immediately told me to go back and have it redone because I am important. I appreciated that an went again on the 12th April 2017. I was doing my facial wax first. The lady had waxed my face from 12pm tp 2pm. That is 2 hours for a facial wax. She waxed the same area 6 times. Everyone knows you only wax the skin no more than twice. I had no idea of the time as I was laying down. She burnt my upper lip terribly. She waxed my one eyebrow off halfway. All she had to do was rewax the patches not wax my face for two hours. I was freaking out not even caring to do my nails because I had two interviews the next day and I had a raw burning face with a missing eyebrow. I called the manager crying she had advised me that she was on her way with cream to cool the burn on my face. This was at 2:15pm. She obviously did not care because she only arrived to me at 5:15pm after several phonecalls were made. I wanted her to see my face so that she can see how her staff work. She had told me that she is aware that the one girl is slow on nails and the other does not quite know how to wax etc. Please explain to me how a so called prestigious company as this hire *********** staff. If I am hired to do a job and I cannot do the job then why am I in the job? So she is aware that her staff are terrible and suck at their job yet they are still employed. She promised me that she would like me to be her mystery shopper because she likes my honesty. I was a vulnerable unemployed in pain girl and I feel the manager took advantage of that by promising jobs and not delivering. I was advised to look on the website for jobs when that was not what she advised me when we met. I spent Easter weekend crying because I could not open my mouth to eat or speak. I am still missing my eyebrow. It's terrible. This place is pathetic and I do not recommend Camelot Spa to anyone!!!!! DISGUSTING!!!!!!
